Amp up your fruit smoothies with some superfood add-ins!
Most people only think of fruit when they think of a smoothie. While this blend does have five different fruits in it, it’s also loaded with plenty of other ingredients. This superfood smoothie is one vitamin rich drink to start your day with!
For the fruit I chose some regulars like blueberries, bananas and strawberries. You can never go wrong with those! I also added some mango and papaya, which provide a nice exotic taste.
Superfoods are considered an essential item to keep in stock around my house! These are the brands that I use and recommend.
This particular smoothie uses quite a few superfoods. I also added in coconut oil because it’s extremely beneficial to your body as well as spinach to get some greens in. The cocoa powder and nut milk add wonderful flavor to bring it all together!
Put everything in your blender and relish in the combination of nutrients from this powerhouse smoothie. Some of the benefits include being high in omega-3s, fiber and anti-oxidants. This smoothie also has the ability to improve your mood and skin while also increasing energy levels. Consuming this will help lower cholesterol too. Drink up!
