If you don’t have time for breakfast there are still ways to get an ample amount of nutrients while on the go!
My ideal smoothie combines both fruits and vegetables, plus some protein and superfood powders. If you are going to drink your breakfast it should be as good as possible for you!
I’ve become a huge fan of using both beets and sweet potatoes in my smoothies. I used to only juice these veggies but loved the taste so much that I began adding them to my blends. They add a sweet earthy taste, while both being a good source of B vitamins, potassium and fiber! Just remember to peel them first!
A great superfood powder to add to smoothies is spirulina. Having this in your diet is extremely beneficial for your body and overall health. It’s loaded with iron and calcium, and can remove toxins from your blood, cleanse your liver and even fight cancer.
This particular smoothie is made up of four fruits, two vegetables, one nut powder, two superfood powders, a natural sweetener and a protein powder. I chose to just use water as my liquid since I didn’t need another added flavor.
Something like this will fill you up with all the necessary nutrients and give you endurance to go about your day. The taste of health truly is satisfying!
What protein powder are you adding in to your smoothies? My favorite vanilla flavored one is a superfood brand called Shakeology. It happens to be one of my top choices from the variety they offer!
