Hemp & Avocado Blackberry Peach Smoothie Bowl

Transform a simpleΒ smoothie into a filling bowl of goodness!

A morning smoothie is great for on the go, but when you have time you can enjoy it as a satisfying smoothie bowl! All you need to do is make it a little bit thicker and then you can top with more fruit and extra goodies too!

Hemp Peach Blackberry Avocado Smoothie bowl recipe

Start by prepping the toppings ahead of time. You will want to slice the fruit first so you have it ready, that way your smoothie stays cold and doesn’t sit. For this one I chose a white peach and blackberries to go on top, and an avocado to use in the blend.

Avocados make smoothies extra creamy. Of course it also provides a good source of greens! I have quite a few recipes I have posted for smoothies with avocado that you can check out- a beet and mango avocado smoothie, an avocado and rhubarb oatmeal smoothie, a coconut cashew avocado smoothieΒ and this fruit and veggie mega smoothie.

The key to a perfect smoothie bowl is to use less liquid. You want it to be a consistency almost of ‘nice cream’ as you blend everything together. (By the way, you need to make that too- SO good for a healthy treat!) I made this smoothie with bananas, hemp milk (although you can use any kind of milk or even water), greek yogurt and an avocado. I chose a vanilla flavor for my Greek yogurt, but plain works too! Last was a sprinkle of spirulina for additional benefits.

Blend together until smooth and then pour in a bowl. Top with the sliced fresh fruit and some hemp seeds, then dive in and enjoy!
