What better way to tone your whole body than from your center?

You often hear instructors saying to make sure you are tightening your core and using those ab muscles to stabilize you. What does that really mean though? If you don’t have a strong center then it can increase the risk of injury during workouts by having your body overcompensate in other areas due to improper form. It is extremely important to build up your abdominals, not just to get that 6-pack but to benefit your body to help reach it’s highest potential.

This core focused routine will work out your abs from every direction. Get a flat lower belly, toned stomach and bring in that waistline all with one workout! The best part is that the exercises are meant to engage your entire body while strengthening from the center.

Routine Breakdown:
– starfish x 20
– raised leg russian twists x 20
– one leg toe touch x 10 R/L
– bicycle crunches x 20
– side v-ups x 10 R/L
– bridge w/ leg lifts x 10 R/L
– plank twists x 20
