Drink to health!
Green smoothies are the way to go! When you need a quick breakfast on the run a smoothie is a simple choice, but why not make it as beneficial as possible?! You can easily add veggies to your blend to give your body the extra nutrients it needs in the morning.
Most of the time I make a green smoothie I blend up some spinach. For this one I chose to use wheatgrass powder and a little hemp oil. Smoothies are usually packed with fruit, so this one stands out since it mixes in a serving of vegetables too! I tried carrot in a smoothie recently and decided it was something I definitely had to try for myself at home. To finish the banana and greek yogurt thicken it up to just the right consistency.
I chose to top the smoothie off with some turmeric! (You can blend it right in though). It really boosted the flavor and was the perfect addition. Turmeric and carrots work really well together, both in a meal and a blend. They are high in antioxidants and improve your skin. With the combination of wheatgrass and hemp oil too, this smoothie is an easy way to get extra vitamins and nutrients into your body! I used a pre-made green juice as the liquid for this one. You can make your own or use a good store bought kind. To easily turn just some water into a green juice you can use some spinach cubes.
Looking for a protein powder to add to your smoothies that is made up of a variety of superfoods? My favorite one is Shakeology, and it comes in multiple flavors! I can always help get you set up with a sample pack too!

The wheatgrass I mainly use is a powder and I like the Amazing Grass Organic brand.
Now that I’ve tried this I am definitely going to be making a carrot smoothie more often! I did find some awesome recipes to try from Simple Green Smoothie’s post about adding carrots to your daily blend. Why was I not doing this sooner??
If you are mixing for one instead of two, try this personal blender! It’s great for on-the go smoothies to take with you straight from blending. I’ve even used this at work because it doesn’t take up much room on a desk.
