5 Natural Face Care Brands You Should Be Using

One thing I am very passionate about now is proper skin care. I didn’t care much about this until after college, which I definitely regret. It wasn’t until I was around 25 that I started paying attention to the fact that I had wrinkles and found myself Googling how to minimize pores. Suddenly it mattered very much to me to nourish my skin and look into anti-aging beauty products. For about 5 years now I have bought and tried a variety of everyday facial products and want to share with others what some of my favorites are. The main point to the ones I have featured is that they are mostly natural based, which is extremely important. There are too many brands out there with ingredients that are unnecessary and harmful, and you are over-spending to use them!

I use this toner from Avalon Organics daily and love it so much that it’s the only one I have bought in the past two years. It contains only organic ingredients, has no synthetic fragrances or parabens and the bottle is even made from recycled material. The main reason I have continued to use this is because it isn’t harsh at all, but rather very light and refreshing. They have quite a variety of bath, skin and hair care products! I use a shampoo from them for stimulating hair growth that I highly recommend also. The price and quality is a win-win with this company.

I discovered Hemp360 from a local farmers market and am so glad I did! Their products are raw, organic, non-GMO and rich in antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamins. Their skin repair lotion is good for all skin types and a variety of conditions. We use this and it definitely lasts a while because a little goes a long way! They offer package deals to get different skin care kits for brightening, clarifying, sensitive skin, etc. so I would take advantage!

Tata Harper is my new obsession. I received the cleanser for a Christmas gift so I have only been using it for about 3 months, but I immediately felt a difference when I used this just the first time! It is a very gentle exfoliator too, which is a wonderful combination. What makes her brand so great is the powerful multi-active formulas used so you get 4-in-1 products and don’t have to buy so many different things. I love this exfoliating cleanser because it helps minimize pores while purifying and protecting your skin. Tata Harper products are 100% natural and free from toxins and synthetic chemicals. I plan on exploring her line more after trying this- especially because the collection targets different needs in skin care such as wrinkles, breakouts, discoloration, etc. Everything is also produced by them exclusively and on top of it all they are eco-friendly! Seriously look into this company for your beauty care.

Rooted Beauty has a daily cleanser that I have used for about 6 months now. I decided to give it a try and found it removes make-up wonderfully also! This cleanser contains green coffee anti-oxidants for energizing qualities and is extremely hydrating for your skin. The brand in particular has a mission to help impact women around the world in more ways than one. Part of the sales go towards a great cause and they carry an exfoliator and moisturizer as well (that I have not tried) so you can purchase a set. Plus they use natural ingredients, are environmentally friendly and the products are very affordable!

The line that I use the most is Origins. My mom and my best friend both recommended this to me years ago because it’s their favorite and, as you can tell, one of mine now as well. They have such a wide variety to focus on specific treatments like renewal or acne control, and many different types of skincare products such as oils and serums! My favorite is their anti-aging power serum from their Plantscription line. I also really like the eye creams! Spending the money on Origins is worth it for the results. They use tons of natural ingredients and essential oils with a focus on the power of plants, plus recycled packing.

Just to throw out an additional preference- Alba Botanica is another brand that I would encourage others to use! I don’t have a photo of one of their products since I ran out, but I have used a few from this brand and absolutely love their coconut milk face wash. Their website seems to be down at the moment but you can check out their Facebook page. Alba Botanica is hypoallergenic and uses no parabens or harmful sulfates. They have scrubs, a line for acne help, face masks, hair products and even sunscreen (which I have personally used) – so check them out too!

Feed your skin properly with all natural products! If you don’t know what the majority of the ingredients are in a product then don’t put it on your body. Far too many brands advertise false help for your skin when in reality it’s just pumping chemicals into you. Find companies that truly care about the Earth and about what it can do for us if we go back to the basics.

Note: As with all new products read the ingredients and make sure this will work for you. Everyone has different skin and allergies!

I have been using Avalon shampoo and Conditioner for a couple of months now and love it. I will have to look out for their skin care line. Where are the rest of the products available for purchase?

It’s one of the best shampoos I’ve ever used! I bought their toner at Sprouts but I have seen it at Whole Foods and super HEB stores too.

Thank you so much for sharing these! I try to stick with natural, organic products from companies that don’t test on animals and there are quite a few brands on here that I’ve never heard of/will h ave to look into! PS: Love that you added in the comments that none of these products are tested on animals. YAY!
